HYDROSOLS

Hydrosols are distilled waters of fresh or dried plant material, containing all the water soluble compounds of the plant along with essential oils.

I handcraft each hydrosol using fresh herbs harvested at the peak of potency from my biodynamic garden in South Jersey.

True hydrosols (hydro or steam distilled from plants) contain an abundance of therapeutic properties (in some cases more than essential oil alone!).

When sprayed on your skin, they provide hydration and refreshment along with anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant phytochemicals, balance your skin’s pH and acid mantle, and can help set makeup.

I distill regularly during the growing season using fresh local harvest as well ethically sourced, high quality woods and resins that grow around the world.

As with my formulating, distillation takes place indoors in a sanitized workspace, and all hydrosols are immediately preserved and vacuum sealed for freshness and safety.
